The 140 now has over 20 hours after engine overhaul. While continuing the break-in process, I finally had an opportunity to make it to a Fly-in!
I attended an annual Fly-in organized by EAA Chapter 376 out of Sierra Sky Park (E79) in Fresno, CA.
First a pancake breakfast was served, immediately followed by lunch in the EAA hangar.
The organization was top notch, all visiting airplanes were put on display and the event also featured a car show. There was a mini spot landing contest. Local businesses were in attendance as was Sheriffs Aviation unit with three (3!) helicopters.
Interesting fact, E79 was founded in 1946 and is the first residential airpark1 in the world. Now over 500 airparks exist world-wide.
On the way there, while doing at 3000ft WOT engine break-in leg, with some help of tail-wind, I attained a 147mph ground speed in the old 140. 147mph = 128kt = 236km/h = Mach 0.193 :)
