My last backcountry camping flyin of the year at Lone Pine, CA. Making it count (safely).

Previous photos were of flight-to Lone Pine, CA. Here is day2 where everyone woke up before sunrise and went on guided fly-outs. First, 43 airplanes, in multiple groups, made their way to Bonnie Claire dry lake-bed to watch solar eclipse. Then I flew an intermediate fly-out with a group of my newest friends :)

On the way back from fly-outs, we stopped by Independence, CA. and walked into town for well deserved ice cream. I had home-made apple pie!! Afterwards debrief at Lone pine and flight back next day.
