why?
I bought this bike to have fun installing all these mods and making it mine. It was a fun experience and I got it to a reliable Stage2 setup likely making around 11hp :)
Anything more and it’ll need brakes, ARacer+O2 and a big bore kit or a CBR300R swap. I strongly considered the latter, but in Cali, I can’t buy auction bikes and other options are cost prohibitive. I intended to learn to wheelie on it, but never got there, so the bike is ~mint - not one scratch on the 12bar titanium block :)
The buyer will get to skip dealer fees and get a turn-key Stage 2 Grom. This one gets to surface street speed limits in no time, it is nimble, loud and stupid fun. No other bike taught me as much in as few miles as this Grom!!
what next?
I had a Suzuki DRZ400SM, KTM SuperDuke 990, (Honda Grom), still have my KTM Duke 390 and now am looking for a Honda CB650R. I’ll learn to wheelie one day - probably on a dirt bike on grass (softer falls).
